On 28th June, the Rev Donald McCorkindale, who is the Church of Scotland Minister at Morvern, Strontian and Ardgour, was inducted as the Club’s 68th President. He brings considerable experience to the position, as in the year 2007/08, he was President of the Rotary Club of Inverkeithing & Dalgety Bay. This is the first time Lochaber has had a President who had been a President in another club.

After induction, Donald paid a tribute to the late Derrick Warner. He said: “This should have been Derrick’s year.”

We all wish Donald every success in his year as President.

Dr Sedgewick gave members an update on how the club’s funding had been used to support the training of basic surgical skills in Rwanda and Palestine.
His team helped set up a basic surgical skills faculty in the bustling capital city of Kigali.
