A crack team of singing maestros and musicians from the Rotary Club of Lochaber, ably augmented by the Reverend Richard Baxter, spent Wednesday 11th December touring all the Care Homes in Lochaber, performing Christmas carols and delivering Christmas gifts to the residents.

In the course of a full day, the Club visited Invernevis, Victoria Court, Mosspark, Abbeyfield Ballachulish before finishing at the Belford Hospital in the evening where they toured the wards and brightened up the hospital with their rendering of many seasonal carols.

Club President Donald McCorkindale said “We really enjoy visiting the local care homes and the hospital every year and entertaining the residents. Many of them join us in singing a rousing set of Christmas carols. Our travelling Santa, in the form of past president Donald Young, hands out presents to the residents and these are always well received. This is just one example of Rotary serving the local community”.
