Ron’s programme of Summer Outings continued with a short 6k walk through Glen Dubh Lighe to visit the bothy at Drimsallie. This is a delightful woodland walk, rising to over 400’ above sea level, with stunning views of the cascading river.

David reports “Another fine Lochaber day. All four of us, plus Jessie, commenced our Drimsallie walk along the riverside and up the glen. The weather was fine with just a light breeze, we made the bothy in good time – 46 minutes. The bothy is well worth a visit, two fine rooms – one with a good stone fireplace and wood panelled walls (see photo).

We enjoyed our refreshments and set out on the return walk. Again,
we are very grateful to Ron for his knowledge of the area and organisation skills.

NB. The Whisky on the table wasn’t ours !!!

Total distance 5.85 km, elevation 132m. total time 1:26:33”.
