Our party of eight set out from Laggan Locks at 10.30am, the weather was fine and warm we headed into a light north easterly breeze as we passed some superb scenery on our way to Fort Augustus. It is quite understandable why we get so many tourists, just look around at the magnificent views. We arrived just in time for opening at the Lock Inn where a hearty lunch was enjoyed by all.
Shortly after lunch our stalwarts embarked on the return trip. The north easterly prevailed despite the forecast and we had a very pleasant wind assisted trip back to Laggan Locks.
We all enjoyed good company, good food, and splendid scenery.
Thanks again to Ron for choosing the route and organising the event.
