Despite atrocious weather, the party of nine Rotarians, Partners and friends set off from a mile south of Duror at 1030 am to cycle to the Creagan Inn. We arrived in good time to enjoy an excellent lunch there. For our return journey, the wind had turned from south-west to north-west with the conditions improving dramatically. Thanks to Ron’s local knowledge, we took a diversion over the Jubilee Bridge at Appin. This proved to be a popular decision with the team. Unfortunately, David Mee sustained a puncture, which was rapidly repaired with a new inner tube provided by Ron and ably fixed by David.  We arrived back at the car park in Duror, loaded the bikes and headed off to Ann & David Thompson’s home for coffee, tea & biscuits. Big thanks to David & Ann.

The total distance covered was about eighteen miles. Thanks to all who took part and a big thanks to Ron for the organisation. A very enjoyable trip.
Our next Bike Ride will be on 2nd September to Fort Augustus with various starting points – details will follow. A possible future trip to Lismore is also in the planning stage.
